The minutes of the Annual General Meeting for Laide Wood, held on 21st September 2011, are now available in the downloads section.
Pond Dipping Success

The Laide Wood Pond Dipping Day on 11th August 2011 was a big success.
Peter Cunningham, biologist with the Wester Ross Fisheries Trust, leading this event Peter helped 15 or so visitors find all manner of beasties in the water of the lochs and burns in the Wood. He also gave a demonstration of electro fishing, and identified several species of fish in the burns (all of which were put back again safely afterwards).
Thanks to Peter for an entertaining day.
